Developing oral oxygen-based therapies for gastrointestinal disease

Dr. Porter W. Anderson, Jr., Ph.D., is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology. He is a recipient of the Albert Lasker Medical Research Award, the Pasteur Award, and the Prince Mahidol Award for his role in the development of the Haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib) vaccine, which became part of routine childhood immunization and dramatically reduced the incidence of pediatric bacterial meningitis.
An accomplished inventor, Dr. Anderson holds nine patents related to vaccine technologies. He was also an early investor in Sopharmia, Inc., an anti-infective biotechnology company whose assets were later acquired by venture-backed Gladius Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Dr. Anderson earned his Ph.D. from Harvard University and served on the faculties of Harvard Medical School and the University of Rochester.

Dr. Larry D. Sutton, M.D., Ph.D., is a physician-scientist and entrepreneur with experience spanning medicine, academic research, and biotechnology. He earned both his M.D. and Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Iowa, where he also served on the faculty. He subsequently held academic appointments at Miami University and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and served as Director of Clinical Microbiology at the McClellan Memorial Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Dr. Sutton completed residencies in pathology at the University of Iowa and in family medicine at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. His clinical experience has included pathology, primary care, and emergency medicine.
Dr. Sutton founded Joel Health Industries, which was subsequently acquired by a Fortune 100 company. He later co-founded Sopharmia, Inc.; its assets were acquired by venture-backed Gladius Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Sutton subsequently co-founded LPOXY Therapeutics, Inc. with Dr. Porter W. Anderson, Jr.
Dr. Sutton holds 25 patents and is an author or co-author of more than 100 scientific publications.

Dr. Sullivan is a product development leader with more than 20 years of experience identifying strategic opportunities, directing development programs, establishing commercialization roadmaps, and managing global manufacturing.
Bob serves as LPOXY Therapeutics’ CMC & Manufacturing Lead and is responsible for directing the company’s CMC and manufacturing activities, including development and coordination of the drug substance and drug product manufacturing strategy for SIDIPREV™.
